Nickelle & Alfie

N&A got in touch a few months before their elopement as they decided to mark the occasion of them officially becoming husband and wife. They had a big party planned with all their friends and family for later in the year but wanted to look back on the day they married. Not living in Nottingham they decided to travel back as they were Nottingham Trent Uni students (and that's where they met!) it felt really special for them to come back and go down memory lane.

We spoke via phone and zoom a couple of times to discuss logistics and travel plans and went to a few places around the city, met first at West Bridgford Hall where they legally tied the knot to capture some photos with their witnesses before heading off. Stopping by the river at the embankment, heading into the city to Nottingham Contemporary, and around the lace market on the cobbled streets and capturing them chatting away reliving old memories was wonderful. Here's some of the photos I took and a huge thank you to both Nickelle and Alfie for having me along to mark this special occasion.

"If I could give 10 stars I absolutely would. Emma was truly exceptional and an absolute pleasure to work with. We weren’t sure if it was worth having a photographer for our teeny, tiny legal ceremony, as we’re having our bigger wedding in a few weeks, but after working with her and receiving our photos, we’re over the moon that we did!

Emma was super friendly, polite, was very punctual and made us feel very comfortable as we both don’t like getting our pictures taken. It just felt like hanging out with an old friend. An absolute breeze to work with and we’re blown away with the photos! Completely and utterly blown away. When we opened up the gallery, I burst into tears. She’s encapsulated all of the emotions and feelings that we experienced on that special day and I cannot thank her enough. We’d work with her again in a heartbeat and I can’t recommend her enough.

Thank you so much again Emma!"
