Mel and John at The Ashes barn, staffordshire

I first met Mel at a styled shoot where I was brought in as the photographer back in 2019 at a local venue in Nottingham. It seems like a lifetime ago now! When Mel & John got in touch to discuss their wedding I was shocked and so privileged to be able to capture their day. Mel is not only a model but also a photographer too, so a little nerve wracking for me! After a soggy pre-shoot at Dovedale (can be seen on my blog too with their amazing dog Wilfred!) we had such an amazing time and got to know each other a lot better! The day came after a change of date due to the C word and it was incredible. Such a beautiful autumnal day in a wonderful barn in the Staffordshire countryside. Working with some of the most amazing suppliers it was a great day had by everyone!

Kind Words:

"We hired Emma to photograph our wedding in 2020, however, due to the pandemic we had to postpone until 2021. Emma was so amazing during this stressful time and we ensured we got a date that she could do. The engagement shoot was a great ice breaker and meant we could get to know Emma and vice versa. Plus we got some amazing photos of us.

For the wedding Emma was incredible. She was professional and precise, she knew what she wanted to capture and blended in so sometimes we didn't even realise she was there and it shows. The photos are so natural and she captured the full of the joy of our wedding and after such a crazy time she got photos of our guests having fun. We had so many people tell us how lovely Emma was and I definitely agree. You can really tell she is passionate about capturing your day and loves her job. I would recommend Emma to everyone."
