DIY Wedding in Northamptonshire!

Today I share with you the wonderful wedding of Ellen & Ryan from back in June this year, Ellen first got in touch via my facebook page looking for availability "I really like the natural style of photography, capturing emotions throughout the day as opposed to the posed shots, a lot of photographers seem to say they do this and then you look through their portfolio and it doesn't reflect the same but i like that yours does!"

Many of you know by now that I like to capture the day as it unfolds, and sneak you off for only 10/15 minutes during the day to allow you to spend most of the time with your friends, family and making the most of your day, how you want it. And that's exactly why Ellen & Ryan went ahead.

Ellen & Ryan spent months preparing and planning for their big day. I absolutely loved watching and keeping up to date with all the goings on behind the scenes. Ellen's dad grew the flowers and monitored them, cared for them up until the day of the wedding, and it was really touching to see the entire families effort. The signs and boards that take many attempts on a Sunday afternoon until they were right, and boy, did they look good!

The wedding of Ellen & Ryan was so fantastic, full of so much love, emotion and a lot of laughs.

The day started at Ellen's family home where she was surrounded by her loving family and closest friends, I always enjoy the mornings, it's an emotional roller-coaster and everyone is feeling fantastic! Her Dad disappeared to sort the flowers out in the morning, but when he returned, the whole room was in floods of tears when he saw how beautiful Ellen looked.

I nipped across to the church where Ryan and his best man, brothers/groomsmen were waiting patiently for guests to arrive, shortly followed by Ellen and her bridal party. It was a very overwhelming and emotional ceremony, which was also made a lot of fun which was exactly what Ellen & Ryan were hoping for. From games, live music and coin flipping. It was a ceremony like no other, especially when the new Mr & Mrs Holt walked down the aisle as a married couple to Hooked on a Feeling, Guardians of the Galaxy style!

For the afternoon we were on weather watch as one moment it was absolutely chucking it down, and then blaring hot sunshine, which ruined absolutely nothing. The day was so fantastic, as soon as I saw the marquee set up on private land in the Northampton countryside, surrounded by plants, trees, so many DIY touches it was stunning. Thanks again for Ellen & Ryan for choosing myself to be their wedding photographer, I had a fantastic day and wish you both all the best!
